//Today I committed to signing over my whole life earnings to enter a country 4,307 miles away from home, for over half of August to build an orphanage for children with special needs.
//I have no idea how I am going to earn the money to get there, but I don't think that I have ever felt the need to do something more in my life than this. All I can rely on is the fact that God will provide and this will all work out.
//Have I actually sat down and thought about what I have decided to do? Sure haven't. It probably won't seem real until I return home to the States.
//On a completely different note, its basically Christmas season and my guilty pleasure is currently Christmas Jams. Side note: Meghan Trainor's Christmas album is on point.
//College is slowly sucking the life out of me, and I secretly love every second of it. Cheers to blogging instead of writing essays.

New York State of Mind
I may or may not have gone to New York a couple weeks ago. Since then, I have not been able to get it off my mind. I fell in love with that city and I cried as we drove away. Now, all my life plans are centered around the fact that someday, I WILL live in New York.
I only spent a day and a half there, which is not close to enough time. I mean, a whole day could easily be spent on Central Park. However, I did get to see so many amazing and fascinating things!
I only spent a day and a half there, which is not close to enough time. I mean, a whole day could easily be spent on Central Park. However, I did get to see so many amazing and fascinating things!
Our first night was spent atop the 69th story of the Rockefeller Center. It was there that I first fell in love with New York. The view is spectacular, which is a complete understatement.
The second day was full of all sorts of adventures. We started our mornig off with a stroll across the Brooklyn bridge. When we found ourselves in Brooklyn we went on a scavenger hunt for a red kiosk where we bought half off Broadway tickets. We then took the subway to the Staten Island ferry, which is free and you get the fantastic view of the Statue of Liberty, without paying the 30 dollar fee to go onto Ellis Island. In my opinion, it's the way to go. It's was perfect. After the ferry ride, we went on a search for the LDS Manhattan temple. Which we couldn't find until we looked up. It was incredible. We then ventured into Central Park, and got so lost it wasn't even funny, but really it was. While in Central Park, it's so easy to forget where you are. It's beautiful, and ridiculously large, it's fine. The Shake Shack is what we chose for dinner and it is quite possibly my favorite place to eat. Too bad I have to go all the way to the other side of country to eat there. I definitely recommend it if you ever find yourself in New York. Time Square was next! That place is amazing and crazy and I just love it. We got hit on by Russian Spider-Man, who tried so hard to give my sister his number, it was a little creepy. Then we hit up H&M because why the heck not. I'm pretty sure grandma though we were skanks for shopping there, and she even admitted later that she hated that store and she would have rather waited outside. We then found ourselves waiting in line to be seated for Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. We got orchestra seats and it was amazing. We ended our night with a stroll through Queens because we like to live life on the edge. It was possibly one of the most thrilling things I've ever done, that and driving in Time Square at 5:00 at night, or at anytime of the day, are on top of my list of thrilling things to do. The next mornig we headed back to Washington D.C and I cried my eyes out for a good half an hour because I never ever wanted to leave. I sure love that place. It's amazing.
This is the Rockefeller Center.
The Shake Shack, my favorite place on earth.
Time Square at about midnight. This city never sleeps.
The subway is real and cheep and fun and I just love it!

The Moon Chasers
In the wee hours of the night, a beautiful and yet mysterious creation appears. A girl stares in awe.
The majority of the world sleeps, but she doesn't. Night after night, she lies awake and pours out her heart to the one thing she knows will always be there.
She calls herself a moon chaser. Always running, but never entirely reaching the level of the moon.
As she runs, she sings, she dances and she talks. The moon always lending a listening ear. The memories never end. The nights are spent talking and pretending that everything in the world is perfect and, the days are spent longing for the comfort of the night.
With the moon she is her complete self. Simple, but so complex. The perfect balance of crazy and calm. In certain moments more personal than ever before.
The thought of others has reached her before. Not certain if others exist, she calls out, we are the moon chasers.

A Day for the Books
Unbeknownst to the boys, us girls started getting ready for the dance as soon as school got out. In reality, we checked Facebook a couple hundred times, talked for an hour and a half, then decided that maybe, just maybe we should get our stuff together.
I met up with Maisi and Elise after I took Jordan some suspenders at work. Jordan proudly wore them while in his lifeguard attire for the tree hours that he had left at work.
The girls got ready at Elise's house and then the boys met us there for pictures and dinner at 5:30. Three girls getting ready in an hour and a half is nearly impossible and,we barely pulled it off. Go us!
We ate dinner, which was fantastic, and the we played Apples to Apples and the What If game. I'll tell ya, if you want to get to know someone, play those games, they are date jems.
The dance was amazing. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. My group was definitely the party group. Half the time we were outside dancing the night away on the deck, in the freezing cold weather, but once you went numb, it was no big deal. The dance is all a blur. I'm sure some awesome things happened, but I don't remember them at all.
It's a good thing I struggled while getting this thing on, because it meant that my mom could get some super cute pictures.
This describes our whole night in one picture.
I feel like this picture belongs in an awkward family photos collection. I really like the Titanic couch.
These are our "official" dance pictures.
Can we take a quick shoe appreciation moment. They are the coolest.
We are Fierce!
Jordan was hands down the best date ever, and he taught me how to waltz, so that gives him bonus points.
After the dance we partied at Maisi's house and watched Pitch Perfect. And by party, I mean sleep. The girls were too tired to drive home, so we crashed at Maisi's house.
Tolo was a P-A-R-T-Y and my date and group was hands down the best in the whole world.

I'm Alive, Say What?
HEY YOU GUYS!
Guess what, I'm still alive.
Maybe someday I will tell you all about this last month and an almost half, when its not passed my bedtime and I don't need to study for my crazy long finals.

It Aint Love if it Can't Break Your Heart
Two days changed the way I think about everything now.
Maybe it was staying up with the one person I love most, while he treated me like I was the most important person in this whole wide world.
He taught me a lesson at two in the morning. A lesson that will change my life. If someone wants to be in my life, they'll show me that.
This weekend was the best one yet. The memories are mine, and I can never forget them.
